Frank Sutton ..again...and he plays an evil sergeant.
27 March 2016 | by (Bradenton, Florida) – See all my reviews

"The Untouchables" tended to use and re-use guest actors in many different roles. Nehemiah Persoff, David Constantine and many others appeared on the show various times through its four year run. Frank Sutton appeared four times though these were only in the final two years of the show. None of these guys were bad...and you only notice how often they appear on the show when you see the shows one after the other like I have.

If you watched much 1960s TV, you'll probably recognize Sutton as Sergeant Carter from "Gomer Pile". Well, here in this one he's also a sergeant...albeit an evil one. When the show begins, you learn that Davey (Sutton) and his boss served together in WWI...the boss was his lieutenant. However, their work now is less than honorable and they run an extortion or 'protection' racket through which they shake money out of butchers in town. When one doesn't cooperate, you even see one of his employees get acid tossed in his face. What no one realizes, however, is that the Sergeant is about to turn the organization on its ear...and he's tired of taking orders.

I found this episode a tad more confusing than some and had to pay more than my usual attention to it. This is because there are many betrayals. All in all, it's not a bad episode however...with a few nice twists here and there.
