When Jake repeats to Judith something Charlie says, she refuses to let Alan take Jake for the weekend. Alan tries to talk to Judith, but encounters resistance from her and her friends. It's up to Charlie to set things right.
Whenever Jake repeats Charlie's flippant rule "not to marry as long as you have women for domestic and intimate services", the Harper boys get into trouble. It's worst for Alan, whose weekend visits are sabotaged by Judith and her women's support group on account of their "bad influence." Charlie warns Alan--in vain--not to face them as a group. Then the master proves that he can still win them all over talking face-to-face.—KGF Vissers
