Quotes

Jesse Cardiff: You said if I'd won, I'd live. If I'd lost, I'd die.
James L. 'Fats' Brown: [unscrews cue stick] And you will... as all second-raters die. You'll be buried and forgotten, without me touching you.
[sets stick down]
James L. 'Fats' Brown: See, if you'd had beaten me...
[walks over to retrieve cue case]
James L. 'Fats' Brown: if you'd had beaten me, if you'd had beaten me, you would have lived forever.
Jesse Cardiff: You tricked me.
James L. 'Fats' Brown: [loads cue into the case] No, no. No, you just had to be tested under pressure, that's all. Any man can be a marksman if the target doesn't shoot back.

Are you good enough to die for?!

This "TZ" episode from 1989 named "A Game of Pool" was a remake from the classic series. It stars Esai Morales as a young up and coming pool hustler who thanks he's the all- time greatest around. It's his obsession as this is all he does is he plays games of pool he has no life of love, he doesn't even see any movies or read any books it's a green table of hitting round balls with a stick that controls his life. Thru the magic and power and another dimension of "The Twilight Zone" the all-time legend and great pool shark the one and only Fats Brown enters to play a game with him! And it's clear and quick that this young gun learns it takes a life of playing to be the best even if it means dying to try to do so! Overall pretty good episode.
