This is one of the few times when Rod Serling's closing narration doesn't include the phrase, "The Twilight Zone."
After Walking Distance (1959), Time Enough at Last (1959) and I Shot an Arrow into the Air (1960), this is the fourth and final episode in which Rod Serling uses a mid-episode narration. Of those four, this is the only one which was not produced in Season One.
For unknown reasons the music for this episode was originally recorded in stereo. The stereophonic recording, along with the complete monophonic scores of four other Twilight Zone episodes, can be heard on a CD titled "Twilight Zone, Vol. 1" issued by Varèse Sarabande.
In the opening shot of the house, it is the same shot of the house used in Young Man's Fancy (1962).
