this episode made me cry, but then every episode made me cry. I cannot watch any particular episode of Touched by an Angel, without shedding many tears of sadness for whatever situation is happening at the time. but this one is the one that touched me the most, out of every episode I've ever seen. this was the very first episode that starred Valerie Bertanelli....a newly created angel who had to learn from Monica, on the worst day of Monica's life as an Angel. it was the episode where Monica wanted to quit, and just walk away, because of the anguish she was going thru because of he callousness of mankind....a people created by our God....who could let so much destruction & death of the beings he created to love each other, as he loves us....it was the episode where a little girl named Madeline, who was the one who gave Valeries character the name Gloria....and was Gloria's only friend...until her & her mom went into this big office building, for her mom's job interview that day...and a few moments later Monica, Tess, & Gloria were discussing the Angel of Death...Gloria asked how many Angels of Death were needed to take someone home, because it seemed that 100's of Angels were walking into that building as she asked that question. and the next thing you knew, the building that Madaline & her mom had gone into, Blew Up! killing everyone inside....Madeline died later at the hospital she'd been taken to. Monica wanted to walk away, from the people she was sent to help...and guide back to God....because she just couldn't understand how the world that God created could be filled with so much hatred that we have to go on killing each other for stupid reasons....and Andy Pantinkin who played Satan....tried to lead her to his side...which she almost did....until Miracously thru her broken heart, and her torment.....she denied him, and asked God to forgiver her for what she was feeling....and going thru....and she became more strengthened in God's word....that is the One Episode I can't get out of my mind....because even tho I'n no angel, I can understand her anguish, and her pain, and her doubts she felt....I know If I'd been her, I'd just have wanted to walk away also....that one episode, got to me more deeply than any other that had ever been on T.V. and especially after "911," it is impossible to forget...I still wonder why the people of this earth hate each other so much that they have to try to kill each other on a daily basis....it just doesn't make sense. never has, never will....

I wish that Touched by an Angel was still on the air, on T.V. it is my favorite show....and it deserves to be on the air, especially since there is so much garbage on t.v. now that does more damage than good, such as Two & a Half Men, & South Park....they teach nothing but bad behavior to kids....how to disrespect their elders....when Touched By an Angel did more good than bad....but then how can anyone believe that TBAA is bad in any way? I certainly can't. TBAA should be "brought back" on the air....especially when it has episodes like Netherlands. I thank the writers graciously for that episode. Thank You. P.S. I have season 1, 2, & 3 on DVD right now, and I've been watching the episodes I have on each, as of late. and it never occurred to me to think about something that's crossed my mind as of late. Tess, the head angel of all three of them that are normally in each program, wears A lot of Fine Jewelry, in Each Episode. Why is it that She wears such beautiful jewelry & cloths all the time, when Monica wears such simple things (most of the time), and looks demure, & innocent, for the most part, where Tess, almost always looks as if she's heading to an afternoon Tea Party in the country? doesn't say in the Bible, that your not supposed to arrange yourself with costly array? well, Tess does that all the time. is that rule for us Humans Only? and the Angles have special privileges, cus they Are Angles? or doesn't that rule apply to them also? just curious is all.
