Storyline

The comedy segment was letters to Santa that are received by the Post Office, with information to contact the PO is one wishes to help the less fortunate. (This was an annual segment on the show.) Steve Jenne came out with the sandwich partially eaten by Richard Nixon he saved from a campaign stop in September 1960. He was a 14 year old Boy Scout. He related the details of how he got it and saved it. At the end another sandwich was brought out, and after Johnny took a bite it was given to Mr. Jenne to add to his collection. Steve Martin talked about doing the play "Waiting for Godot" and his film "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels". A clip from the movie was shown. After Martin said he didn't believe in Christmas Santa came out. Helen Shaver discussed that she had recently had a child, and then got married. Her husband worked on "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" also. Written by lenab9011
