The Charade is Up!

Jack buys a record that he and Chrissy can both enjoy, but finds out Chrissy has a date. She can't cook, so she pleads with Jack to cook for her, and spend the night in the kitchen. Things start off well, but unfortunately for her, her date is a food critic, who gives constructive criticism about Jack's food. Jack doesn't take too kindly to this and spoils the date. it gets even worse when Jack finds out that her date knows a famous chef, and bonds with her date over food. Meanwhile, Mr. Roper catches Jack kissing Crissy, wondering if Jack has been lying to him all along. He becomes obsessed to find out the truth. This was absolutely hilarious! A real classic as far as this show is concerned. This was the second time up to this point that Mr. Roper was suspicious about Jack being gay. There are some great gags, especially involving Mr. Roper. The ending will have you in stitches. It ended just perfectly. I thought it was very clever. Janet doesn't have much to do with this one, unfortunately. It is all about Jack & Crissy, but everything clicks. I'm not sure if Jack & Crissy ever date in this series before Suzanne Sommers left the show, I can't recall. If they didn't, I think they should have tried it out.

Favorite quote Stanley Roper: If I find out that Tinkerbell has stopped ringing, i'm gonna throw him out on his ear
