An Unhappy Birthday
6 September 2016 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

While not as dark as "Haunted", "Birthmark" still has a near perfect blend of suspense, action, and chilling moments. Now that Slade's been brought back to life as a minion of an even bigger power, the Titans'll have more than their fair share of challenge ahead of them. There aren't a lot of funny moments in this episode, save for the beginning and end, but once Slade shows up and starts showing off his fire powers, the episode gets insanely dark. It'll be interesting to see how the Titans deal with combating the end of the world. Compared to Slade and Brother Blood, the end of the world is a way bigger challenge. Fingers crossed the rest of the parts to this story don't drop the ball. I know I don't need to say that, but after Terra's story pooped the bed, I don't wanna take any chances.
