For the last episode of this series, we have Lewis Allen as director, and for telling us the story of an ordinary police officer who showed himself as a model of virtue during all his career. But a police officer who seems to have fallen in the evil side. This scheme has never been told before. The cop accused of being a robber is played by a good actor whom I don't know; his character is convincing. This story is nearly a psychological study, a pure drama as much as a crime flick. It also shows the audiences the true face of an ordinary cop, the perfect contrary of a street hero, but not a bad guy either. Just in between. Lewis Allen is a Hollywood film noir vet, very comfortable in this kind of tale.
