Storyline

Television interviewer Caroline Coates is promoted to being her station's news anchorwoman and is anxious to look her very best. Dr. Humphrey Baxter, a brilliant scientist, is working on a formula, to be marketed as 'Youth From Vienna', to stop the ageing process. Caroline, however, whilst happy to make use of Humphrey, sees the younger, better-looking Alan Brodie as a fitter partner. Humphrey is obviously unhappy at this and forces Caroline to make an unforeseen decision. Written by don @ minifie-1

Death become her in 24 minutes.

Caroline Coates is a capable and ambitious news reporter, one day she is visited at work by Scientist, Doctor Humphrey Baxter. He informs her the pair are to be married, she's bemused. Humphrey stays with some friends before heading to Vienna, working with Doctor Wikelberg who's been working on a product which helps with the ageing process. He wants to take her to Vienna, but to encourage her to stay her bosses offer her a spot as news anchor woman, which she accepts, just for a year. When Humphrey returns Caroline is now with a hunky young tennis player, Humphrey gives the couple a proposition, one that could change one of their lives forever.

Youth from Vienna is such a mixed bag, imaginative, fun and intriguing in parts, and yet cheap, hammy and woeful in others. If you are into floaty light fairy tales you'll probably quite enjoy it, if you're more into the mystery/suspense genre then you will find it pointless and rather silly.

Fun performances from both Dick Smothers and the beautiful Sharon Gless.

You will love or hate it. 4/10
