Storyline

Jim Hardie is delivering an Army payroll to Mesa City where the Army is to pick it up. However, the lone soldier has to return with more men so Jim is forced to lock the payroll in the jail as the Wells Fargo safe is too small. With the sheriff taking prisoner Maxey to prison, he deputizes Jim. Across the street from the jail Jim notices a sign for Doc Dawson who practices dentistry, medicine and undertaking. Sure enough it is his old friend Doc Dawson who is still working on his memoirs and practicing without a license. When Maxey escapes the sheriff and is wounded, this gets Dawson into trouble when Maxey's partner Solo kidnaps Dawson to remove the bullet from his shoulder. This puts Dawson in danger when he overhears Maxey's plan to steal the Army payroll. Written by Anonymous
