Hardie offers an old outlaw he sent to prison, not known for his trustworthiness, the opportunity to earn a parole and a reward if he will lead a posse into an outlaw stronghold and help rescue a United States senator from his kidnappers.
Senator George Skagway is taken off a Wells Fargo stage coach by the Red Willis gang supposedly for ransom. The Senator was a judge earlier and sent Red Willis and friends to prison for twenty years so they now want revenge. The government cannot offer a ransom for the senator but Wells Fargo can. All searches for the Senator have come up empty so far so Jim Hardie who is brought in on the case decides to use an old outlaw Hardie sent to prison, Bob Dawson, to help as he was a cellmate with Red Willis until recently. For $5,000 and a parole Dawson agrees to help locate the Senator but is his word good. Written by

Sayin' goodbye to the old jailhouse makes me kinda sad.
If we don't find Willis, we'll make you happy again.
