I just saw this episode on a SciFi marathon. The old man who works for her is her father (who abandoned her and her mother "with three pennies in my hand and less in my head") and this is why she ends up exacting her revenge on him. Someone else already mentioned *how* he changes but I will try to be good and not and not let the rat out of the bag.

I have to say that I am a big fan of the whole series. Just noticed that George A. Romero of the zombie movie fame is involved in this episode (and listed in two others) as a writer. One reason I love to watch this series (and "Amazing Stories" is the chance to see actors who are now a tad more famous (Chad Allen, Seth Green, you get the idea).
