So-so episode saved by a kicker of an ending.
6 August 2011 | by (Edinburgh.) – See all my reviews

Richard and Della go to their friend Alan's lodge to give themselves a break and enjoy their anniversary but things break down as Richard becomes more and more convinced that Della no longer loves him and that she is now, from what he overhears, in love with Alan. Richard can't tolerate this and can only hang on to his sanity for so long.

David Burton Morris directed (and co-wrote) this episode and it's one of the weaker Tales From The Crypt but it has such a gleefully nasty punchline that the rating is pulled right up by the time the end credits roll.

There are no star names to boost this particular episode but those involved do okay, while overacting slightly in a style that never seems all that out of place in any adaptations of the grisly comic tales.

Definitely worth a watch for those final few scenes.
