A solid start.

Top Company Executive Joan Warner is about to be interviewed by a reporter about her rise to the top in the executive world, she's also meant to take her daughter Lucy to The Dentist, however a change in the plan needs the help of her secretary, Graham.

A solid enough first episode, it's definitely watchable, and there are a couple of funny one liners, I'm not sure you'd call it a classic, and it does look horribly cheap.

What a complete change for writers Wolfe and Cheney, having previously done on The Buses, having a strong central woman, with a male secretary, and for 1981, Joan was very much a woman in a man's world.

Lenska and Margolyes are decent, but Inman steals the show, and there is no denying his timing and ability to add humour into what is a fairly pedestrian script.

Lovely to see Michael Sheard, a prolific actor, with some definite comedy skills.
