Warning: Spoilers
This has to be one of the finest hours of television for William Shatner and the show T.J. Hooker. Shatner shines in every second of this episode. T.J. Hooker's background with Stacey goes back to when she was born. He was the first person to hold her in his arms. He is like a father figure to her.

This episode really shows the emotion of Hooker towards Stacey when she is shot. Stacey and Corrigan stop to get morning breakfast in a store. They have a flat and Corrigan stays outside to deal with it. Stacey walks in on a robbery and is shot with armored piercing bullets. Hooker and Ramano arrive and Hooker lets it be known "He wants the guys who did it, badly". Corrigan chases the guy and he gets away with his partner in crime. Hooker and crew start searching for the guy who sold the bullets. Hooker gets a lead from a snitch and he walks in and abuses the guy at the counter for information. He finds the slugs and threatens the guy for more information and gets a name, Toothpick. Corrigan and Ramano try to calm Hooker down, but no chance of that happening.

Hooker checks with the doctor and the bullet is lodged in a spot where they cannot operate at the moment. Hooker finds another guy who knows Toothpick and gives him a lead. Hooker is grilled by internal affairs and told to leave the case alone. Hooker walks out and slams the door. Hooker later gives the OK to operate on Stacey to save her life. He also finds out where Toothpick is staying and they nab him. His girlfriend ends up helping Hooker with the whereabouts of the other crook. Hooker finds him at a restaurant and follow him to a hotel. He breaks down the door and blows him out the window in self defense.

Stacey makes it thru the surgery and Hooker is there to greet her. This is a really great episode showing the bond between Hooker and Stacey and how nothing will stop Hooker from finding the bad guys. A definite 10 out of 10.
