Flash criminal Johnny Lyons and his two associates Budd and Clarke are acquitted on four charges of robbery, thanks to Lyons' smooth-talking brief. Recalling that Lyons once maimed a good friend of Regan's, Maynon puts Regan on the case, giving him carte blanche to reel Lyons in.
