Superintendent Grant is aware that a gang of villains about to pull a bank job are using a radio transmitter to contact their boss, and it is housed in the pub next door to the bank. A former lady friend of Regan, Iris Long, lives over the pub and Regan is sent in, rather reluctantly, to renew his acquaintance with her in time for the heist. Written by don @ minifie-1

The downstairs scenes in the bar were shot at the Warrington pub in Maida Vale whereas the upstairs scenes in Iris's bedroom and on the landing by the telephone were shot at Colet Court in Hammersmith. There is a very jarring cut between the two when the old man runs up the stairs to answer the phone and then runs back down to the bar in a panic to give his "Old Bill - all over the place" speech. As seen from upstairs, the staircase has two flights in opposite directions with a half landing in between, and has no carpet. Seen from below, the staircase has two flights at 90 degrees with a half landing, and has a red carpet. See more »

Det. Insp. Jack Regan: Look, Iris, the world does not revolve round your body - this bloke Gallileo proved it: it goes round the sun.
