It seems rather interesting that the role of pilot Steve Gordon is played by Audie Murphy...one of the bravest (and most decorated) men to have fought in WWII. Here he plays a less than heroic sort of guy! Gordon is a guy who isn't too concerned with how he makes a buck and when some shady characters want to hire him to fly, he isn't very particular and takes it...even though it's pretty obvious these folks are up to no good. Soon, he ends up flying to a small island in the middle of no where, Puerto Colombo...and the men who hired him keep him there with an informal sort of house arrest. He can go wherever he wants...as long as he stays on the island. But Gordon realizes that his employers have kidnapped someone...and he's an accessory....but what can he do?! And, more importantly, what WILL he do?
Despite not intending to go through life being an actor, here Murphy is smooth and effective. And, being an hour long show, it felt like a movie more than just a show. Exciting and worth seeing.
