Powerful

You probably couldn't make a show like this today. Not showing a disabled person in a positive enough light. Yet it's very powerful. Its origins go back to earlier episodes. That's what I love about this series (being a new convert) , is that it develops over time. It's always moving forward yet it continues to plant seeds for the future. You just don't know it at the time.

Strong writing and performances. One of the best sequences of the series so far. Though he didn't write this particular episode, his presence is across the entire first season. Terry Nation, you are greatly missed.

The story of the Tiger.

Vic has been something of an outsider since joining the team. This episode finally tells his story. He's suffering physically, he's also clearly suffering mentally, you imagine that the thing eating away at him most is his treatment by Anne.

It's a definite highlight from Series one, the seniors are posed with another big decision, do they act out of principle, or do they act for the good of the commune? It is a very, very good episode.

This is another, terrific, cohesive story, the writing has been sublime since the start, it's almost as though the jigsaw pieces at the start were all thrown about randomly, buy as the series goes on, those pieces very neatly fit together.

I was delighted by the return of a face from the past, she made a huge impact in a very small space of time, a beautiful snake. So glad they brought her back.

Excellent, 9/10.
