Not the best episode
4 July 2008 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This is the weakest episode I have seen to date. There were several things I did not like about it. One is the alien, "Unity" was disgusting to look at, and I found the whole tendrils emanating from Martha and John Kent's mouths kind of desecrating. Two is the fact that it is never adequately explained why this Alien is susceptible to X-rays, or how the parasites in the people's brain stems were eliminated. The attempts at humor while usually pretty funny, fell flat. It is not all bad however, the continuation of Kara, Supergirl is welcome as she is tough as nails and a good character. I would reserve this episode for die hard Superman fans. I would not recommend this episode to someone who is a casual fan or new to the series. I am unsure why it has such a high rating.
