Storyline

After a gunman is seriously wounded in a New York City currency exchange robbery, he asks his sister to contact Rod Blake in Nevada with an offer to give himself up if he can convince the governor to pardon his wife whom he claims had no part in a homicide he committed several years earlier. Blake goes to meet the killer, but finds him dead in his apartment with the proceeds of the robbery missing. Written by David Bassler

Quotes

[Riggs tries to warn Blake about the mean streets of New York]
Police Sgt. Riggs: You know, New York is quite a bit different from those wide-open spaces.
Lt. Rod Blake: Yes, that's right, Sergeant. For example, do you know what a cougar is?
Police Sgt. Riggs: Kind of a mountain lion, I guess, isn't it?
Lt. Rod Blake: Yeah. Did you ever hunt one?
Police Sgt. Riggs: Here in New York? Nope. Why?
Lt. Rod Blake: Well, once you have, chasing rats won't bother you too much.
