Atlantis is anxiously awaiting the arrival of the lone hive ship heading for the city. The Athosians have been relocated to the cloaked city and the Daedalus and the Orion are ready to assist if necessary. Weir hopes the ship is just checking and the cloak's still sufficient, but there seems to be no hiding. The Wraith transmit an audio signal. It's a message from Michael and he tells they mean no harm. In fact they are here to negotiate a treaty. Since the awakening of all Wraith there's a famine and civil war has broken out. Michael wants Atlantis to work with them in weaponizing the retrovirus, which they will use to attack other Wraith factions to use them as a food source. In return they will not tell anyone Atlantis still exists and enlighten them on every aspect of Wraith technology. Written by Arnoud Tiele (

(at around 30 mins) When the Daedalus jumps into hyperspace, just after the failed attempt to use the gas on the enemy ship, you can see the constellation of Orion and the Pleiades star cluster in the background. That is impossible, as they are not visible from the Pegasus galaxy. See more »

the sfx are amazing... A wraith hive basically contact Atlantis under the cover of establishing an alliance, the single hive ship is supposed to be allied with others in the wraith civil war. The hive is Michael's hive (this is a follow up of Michael and inferno) and they want the Atlantis's teams help in defeating their common enemies, using Beckett's retro virus.

We see the orion flying through sub space again, it has its hyper drive and engines running, but no weapons :(. The Daedalus is fine, although it suffers damage when it is revealed that the alliance was an elaborate ruse to get info to get to earth and upgrade their hyper drive engines.

Lets see, Ronan and Mckay are captive and Sheppard is MIA...the funny thing is I haven't given a lot of the episode away, as it is a two parter...
