"Stargate SG-1" The Other Guys (TV Episode 2002) Poster

(TV Series)

John Billingsley appears as a nerdish scientist who is a trekkie. He talks about "worshiping at the altar of Roddenberry", and at one point when it appears he will die he says "I might as well be wearing a red shirt" (a reference to Star Trek (1966)). Billingsley played Dr. Phlox in Star Trek: Enterprise (2001). A further visual cue is a Klingon bat'leth (sword of honor) on the back wall of Khonsu's (Adam Harrington's) throne room.
Colonel O'Neill asks Teal'c who he thinks will win the Stanley Cup, the top prize of the NHL. Hockey is the most popular sport in Canada. Teal'c believes "the Canucks of Vancouver are superior warriors." The show's filming was based out of Vancouver, British Columbia. O'Neill replies "Canucks, eh?" "Eh" is an expression commonly made fun when teasing Canada and Canadians.
