Trivia

Col. O'Neill tells a reporter "That's O'Neill, with two L's. There's another Colonel O'Neil with one L. He has no sense of humor." In the feature film Stargate (1994), the lead character, whose name was spelled with one L, was played by Kurt Russell and was a much more humorless character. See more »

Goofs

Although the Air Medal is an honor and a distinguished award, it is awarded for duty while in aerial flight and it is no where close enough in order of presedence to have the recipients flown to D.C. And awarded by the President. Up until this episode, both O'Neill and Carter could easily be up for the AF Cross or Defense Distinguished Service Medal. The minimum award might be the Distinguished Flying Cross " The Air Medal is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity in or with the armed forces of the United States, shall have distinguished himself by meritorious achievement while participating in aerial flight. Awards may be made to recognize single acts of merit or heroism or for meritorious service." See more »

Quotes

Jack O'Neill: [Jacob is skeptical about SG-1's cover-story] I retired myself one time. Couldn't stay away.
Jacob Carter: From your analysis of Deep Space Radar Telemetry?
Jack O'Neill: [deadpan] Well, it's just so damn fascinating.

The Baby and the Accident
14 July 2015 | by See all my reviews

Daniel informs the SG-1 that he must return to Abydos to tell to Sha're's father that he has not found her yet; otherwise the Stargate will be buried forever. Teal'c goes with him while Jack and Sam go to Washington to be decorated by the President. On the arrival, Daniel and Teal'c learn that Sha're is pregnant by Apophis and will deliver her baby in Abydos. Further, her Goa'uld is asleep to protect the baby, so Daniel is able to rekindle his love. Meanwhile Jack discovers that the secret about the Stargate has leaked to a snoopy reporter Armin Selig that blackmails him seeking confirmation.

"Secrets" is divided in two episodes, none of them engaging. Sha're and Daniel have no chemistry and life will go on to Daniel on the next episodes. The assassination of the reporter gives a different connotation to the sci-fi series. My vote is seven.
