Jacqueline Samuda, who plays Nirrti in this episode (reprising a role she twice played before) is credited as the co-author of the story upon which this episode is based.
Wodan is another variation of the name Odin, Norse god of wisdom, victory, magic, war, death and poetry, and father of Thor.
Jonas regains consciousness and is seen framed by Nirrti's bent leg as she attempts to seduce him with power. The same view of Benjamin framed by Mrs. Robinson's leg is from The Graduate (1967) when he says the line "Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me."
Dion Johnstone, the actor that plays Wodan (the alien with telekinetic powers), previously played Captain Nelson in Rules of Engagement (1999); Chaka in The First Ones (2000) and Beast of Burden (2001); and also Lt. Tyler in The Fifth Man (2001).
Some of the mutants appear to be the same as the GRS people in The Outer Limits (1995) Criminal Nature (1998).
