Michael Welch (playing young Jack O'Neill) has blue eyes, but he was wearing contact lenses while playing his role on this episode, to make his eyes look brown, so they would match Richard Dean Anderson's eye color.
Colonel Jack O'Neill was born October 20, 1952, which can be seen on his ID card as Major Carter is glancing at it in her hand.
When Daniel and Teal'c are searching for similar accounts, Daniel mentioned that Jack's encounter included noticing 'four green lights'. This is a nod to Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987) Chain of Command, Part I (1992) where Picard is tortured by the Cardassian Gul Madred into thinking there are five lights when there are only four. Throughout the torture, in defiance, Captain Jean-Luc Picard repeats to Gul Madred the phrase 'There are four lights!'. This in turn is a reference to 1984 (1984) in which Winston Smith, the main character, is electro-shocked into declaring that he saw five fingers when there were in fact only four.
The unit patch on the F-302 pilots flight suit read "Snakeskinners" "1st SFW". SFW probably is for Space Fighter Wing.
