The powers that be have decided the time has come to share the secret of the stargate with its allies and major powers. The Russians have known about it for some time but for the ambassadors of France, the United Kingdom and China it's a major revelation. They are given a thorough briefing on the SGC's activities from the beginning and are upset that the USA had chosen not to inform them earlier. They generally feel that this will become an international incident. Senator Kinsey is also at the briefing and proposes that the entire operation be turned over to the NID something that meets with some approval. It takes the intervention of an old friend to keep General Hammond in command. Written by garykmcd

Okay, so this is what I call a freebee episode: one with no action, only a series of flashbacks from past episodes. Every series has one or two. Remember "Politics"(season 1)? I was kinda hoping it would be the only one, but there you are. And at least "Politics" did affect the overall situation for at least one episode.

So, as the title implies, this episode is mainly a big reminiscence of all the disasters that SGC (and mostly SG-1) have triggered / avoided/ covered up over the past 6 years. Flashbacks are all you will see of SG-1, by the way (and Jonas is conspicuously absent from them all). Add to that a 30s twist that solves everything without anybody even having to leave their seats... and some declarations that, politically speaking, will really tax your suspension of disbelief. (Who bribed the Russian commander?)

This episode's only saving grace is its first few minutes, in which we see the incredulous ambassadors frantically trying to catch up on 6 years of intergalactic warfare. Oh, and cheers for including MY country there. And for not giving ze ambassador ze ridiculous accent zat French characters so often seem afflicted with. (Edit: I spoke too fast, he will definitely get it next time. Sigh.)
