Trivia

Sarah/Osiris hands Daniel a black tablet and says carbon dating shows it to be 10,000 years old. The tablet is very smooth-surfaced, shiny, and has a classic concoidal fracture in the upper left corner. Only glass, obsidian, or a flint like fine textured silicate rock would have these features. These materials can not be carbon dated. Carbon dating only works on matter that takes up or sequesters atmospheric carbon, such as organic matter (like wood or papyrus) or air bubbles trapped in ancient ice . See more »

Goofs

Samantha is talking with her date who asks her to go to the zoo. Her response is that Colorado Springs does not have a zoo. But they do. It is called the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, not far from where she is supposed to be working. The producers have stated that they are aware of the zoo, but had Carter state this line to indicate how much of a social life she has - so little of one that she does not even know what goes on above her at Cheyenne Mountain. It took him seven years, but he did it!!
22 June 2010 | by (France) – See all my reviews

This is one of the episodes that take place entirely on Earth. The plot is divided into two parts which finally get tangled up: on the one hand, we have Osiris manipulating Daniel's dreams in order to get the coordinates of the Lost City --a plot which also allows us to understand what really happened between Daniel and Sarah years ago. It also reminds us that ever since Anubis probed Thor's mind, the Goa'uld have had access to superior Asgaard technology, which is now causing new problems for everyone.

On the other hand, the story follows up Carter's decision to get a life (in Grace). Which is not always easy, even though her current date seems to have a lot of qualities, one which is the ability to think on his feet. As an aside, I must say I just *loved* Carter and O'Neill's conversation in the elevator.

Finally, I raise my glass to Daniel's long-awaited achievement: after seven years of chasing after Goa'uld-ed lovers, he has finally managed to save ONE. And managed to get his brain half-fried in the process *once again*, but I think nobody's counting anymore.
