Trivia:

This episode contains many references to "Babylon 5" (1994). Robin Sachs, who played a Minbari councilor in the B5 TV movie "In the Beginning," stars in "Void" as an alien named Valen. In B5, Valen was a holy figure among the Minbari. Also, "The Void" features a 'raider' spaceship first used in the B5 episode "Signs and Portents." And 'Vejar, Mike' , who directed several B5 episodes, also directed "The Void."

Goofs:

Continuity: After losing their warp drive, the warp core shut down but the warp nacelles are still glowing blue as though the warp drive is still on-line. The glow given off by the warp nacelles is the glow of the warp coils when energized. With the warp core down there is no way to energize the coils, so the nacelles should be dark.

This episode based on Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force for PC

This episode is directly related / based on the story events of the PC game "Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force". The events are for the most part mirrored with the exception of in-depth game details. Great story, and fun to play! In the game, Voyager is attacked by a probe that, upon destruction by Voyager in efforts simply to defend themselves, it emits a field that transfers Voyager and it's crew to a area of space that has a energy dampening field that drains ships of their warp energy, preventing their escape. Many other types of ships are in this area, including TOS mirror generation Enterprise ship(s?), Klingons, Borg and 8472. In the episode, unlike the game, there is no Elite Force tactical squad (aww!!) and no final end boss. ;)
