The Enterprise gets surprise messages and visits by stunningly crafty means for the rogue Ferengi 'DaiMon' (commander) Bok, who announces he'll exact retribution on Picard after 15 years for killing Bok's son in a legitimate space battle. The object of vengeance is Jason Vigo, a 23 year-old dashing climbing athlete and adventurer, whom Bok claims is Picard's son by the late Miranda Vigo. Jason is picked up for protection and found genetically compatible with both, but carrier of a rare hereditary degenerating disease. Data finds Jason's roguish minor criminal record. Ferengi reveal Bok was deposed as mentally unstable, but he still gets his ultimate confrontation, when the whole truth proves crucial. Written by

At that rate, it would take 75 seconds, not 20 minutes, to reach Daimon Bok's ship. See more
