This was my first time getting a look at an episode of Star Cops, I've read the reviews with interest, and look forward to watching the series. David Calder has always been a mighty fine actor, and was a great choice.
I was a little surprised to see it was made as late as 1987, the sets look like they belong in a show about ten years earlier, even for 1987 they looked dated. Some decent effects, they perhaps work better than the sets.
I enjoyed it, I wasn't blown away by it, but I'm keen to watch more. I know what Boucher is capable of.
You can see Chris Boucher's hand in the writing of this, not just from his previous writing credits, but the anti capitalist vibe is definitely there. The identity of the killer came as no surprise.
Solid, 6/10.
