Cesar Romero stars as Manolo Lalanda who use to be a General in the Imperial Army of Mexico under the rule of Maximilian. It seems that the Mexican authorities that are now in a republic ruled by Benito Juárez has a price on Manolo's head and he is being chased in the rural west by a bounty hunter named Joe Brandy. Manolo is actually injured in the shoulder by a bullet while Brandy and his men are trying to capture him. Now Manolo is roaming the west to avoid capture.
It happens that Luke, along with Davey, are on the stagecoach carrying a group of people to the next town. They are stopped along the way by the wounded Manolo. He tries to hijack the stage but due to his wound passes out before the project is done. Luke carries the wounded Manolo to the depot stop in order to get some help for his wound. But in no time Brandy shows up at the depot wanting the injured Manolo.
Now we have the passengers of the stage being held in the depot as they try to find out what to do with the Mexican. It will be easy just to turn Manolo over to the bounty hunters and save everyone's life. But there is going to be more to this story as the people hear from the man that is on the run from Mexican authorities.
The story turns out to be one of those tales where a group of people are held inside a building while they figure what to do with another member of the cast. Even though, at times, this may have been an interesting situation- on this show it began to drag the story to a stop. This plot has been played out many times on many different shows and when the same plot falls upon this episode it was predictable from the get-go. First half of the show was interesting while the second half seemed to slow to a turtle's pace. Just did not excite the entertainment value of the tale.
