This landmark episode features Dr. Bobby Caldwell, the playboy plastic surgeon. He consults his old classmate, now the Chief of plastics at Boston General, to repair the facial scar left by the girl at the Cape. The pre-surgical blood work reveals Bobby has antibodies for the AIDS virus. Clancey and Dr. Fiscus throw a birthday party for Dr. Morrison; it is a festival of flirting and pie-flinging. Finally, the tired matriarch of the prominent and wealthy Endicott family is persuaded to have surgery with Dr. Craig. In the chapel, Senator Endicott, her son and presidential candidate, is shot at point blank range by a lunatic. Michael, his son and the family rebel, is helpless to stop it. Written by LA-Lawyer
