Jeremy claims that NASCAR is the world's most popular sport. In reality, while it might be extremely popular in the US, it is not in the top 15 most popular sports worldwide. Even by number of total fans, viewers of a single event, or by accumulated fans, NASCAR does not register. (In actuality Soccer by far the world's most popular sport, by any definition, with over half of the world's population watching it.) Jeremy may have meant to say that car racing (including Formula 1, NASCAR, etc.) has the highest TV ratings worldwide.
During Episode 1.11, there is reference to Bobby Knight 'redecorating' the Hoosier Dome. Bobby Knight was, at that time, head coach of Indiana University in Bloomington, which plays at Assembly Hall. The Hoosier Dome is located in Indianapolis and is home to the Indianapolis Colts during that time of year. While basketball has been played in the Dome, it very rarely hosts basketball games. (The Conceco Fieldhouse, home of the Pacers, has hosted games for universities in Indiana). At the time of broadcast (Winter 1998) it had been renamed the RCA Dome for almost five years.
