Storyline

Harry Pearce and the entire team are taken prisoner by a retired ex-agent, Angela Wells, who believes she has evidence that the British security services killed Princess Diana. Her evidence is a report, dated several months before the Princess' death, from a confidential intelligence committee that outlines in great detail how the murder was to take place. It also reveals that Harry was the committee's Chairman. Wells has a bomb with her and makes it quite plain that she is prepared to die to get to the truth. The agent's look into her story unaware that she has a far larger agenda and a far greater objective in mind. Written by garykmcd

Trivia

Malcolm's unsettling use of the word "sweet" to describe lethal technology is a reference to a speech J. Robert Oppenheimer made at a Hearing before the Personnel Security Board of the United States Atomic Energy Commission in 1954: "When you see something that is technically sweet, you go ahead and do it and you argue about what to do about it only after you have had your technical success." Hyperventalatingly amazing!
14 November 2006 | by (United Kingdom) – See all my reviews

When I first started to watch spooks, it was because Rupert Penry-Jones was in it, as I had seen him in Casanova and I thought he was totally awesome. This was at the start of series 5, and I just knew it would be great.

The Monday it was on, throughout the day I was looking forward to it so much. At 8:45 I was watching BBC One so I didn't miss a thing. And when it came on, I was so happy! I'd realised the night before that Rupert is amazing. I was talking for so long the my friend on the phone. She was looking up pictures of Emma Watson and her "Unbeleivable sense of hideous clothing" and I was looking for pictures of him.

At the end, I was hyperventilating. When they said they'd blow up the wall to let water in, I was so scared for Adam and Ross. I didn't want either of them to die because I had got so attached to them. I immediately thought 'but that will kill Adam!' They then said "That will kill your agents though" As the water came down the corridor I was hyperventilating. When they were banging against the door I was shaking. and as he pulled out the metal, I thought "YES!" And so that sums up my commentary on me watching. I thought the actors all play their roles so brilliantly. Rupert especially ;)
