nice story, weak ending
10 June 2014 | by (Midian) – See all my reviews

This episode shows that cheap effects do work back then and with the right score it even gives you the feeling of the seventies. When the moonbase is in deep space they come across Triton. The planet do send some kind of orange light that enters into your brain and makes you do serve the planet Triton. The only thing you want to do is to go to Computer.

Of course an eagle is send towards the orange planet but the light makes it almost not possible to enter the atmosphere of the planet. But commander Koenig do wants to save Dr Helena who is also trapped by the light.

The way they did the effects were rather simple, some kaleidoscopic effect in a dark room using the lenseflair of the camera. It works but also shows how easy some effects could be. Maybe the ending is a bit weak because 'the eye' destroys itself.
