Here [ in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ] The Best Of Soul Train airs at 3am Monday mornings. I can't tell what the original air-dates are, but when I see an episode that is listed, I will try to add comments to this site.
On this episode, Al Green performed all of his songs live. The Impressions lip-synced their songs.
I used to watch Soul Train as a kid, yet, I don't seem to have any recollections of the shows I've seen so far. It has been fun hearing all of the forgotten songs from that era. It's been HILARIOUS watching the outfits and dancers, especially the shows from the 70's [ which are my favorites so far ].
All my future comments will be on which artists lip-sync and which perform live, as well as any info that might be interesting.
