"The Sopranos" The Test Dream (TV Episode 2004) Poster

(TV Series)

(2004)

Trivia

Phil Leotardo, played by Frank Vincent, kills Angelo Garepe in the trunk of his car, while Angelo is begging for mercy. Vincent's character in Goodfellas (1990) was killed in the same way.
The quickly shown clip on TV of High Noon (1952) is at least the fourth reference in the series to the "strong, silent type" of character portrayed in this classic American western by Gary Cooper. Tony mentions it several times in therapy and conversation, and the phrase even serves as the title of an episode in Season 4. If Tony Soprano can be thought to hold high any hero, it would be Gary Cooper.

When Tony checks behind the toilet for a gun this it is a reference to The Godfather when Michael Corleone has a gun taped to the back of the toilet in the restaurant.
