"The Sopranos" Live Free or Die (TV Episode 2006) Poster

(TV Series)

When Tony comes into the kitchen, he is singing the words "sitting on a park bench", a line from the Jethro Tull song "Aqualung"
When Mucci told Christopher Moltisanti and his friend that he was from Yonkers, Moltisanti's friend asked him if he was lost. This is a reference to Neil Simon's Pulitzer Prize-winning play, and subsequent movie Lost in Yonkers (1993).
This is one of the few, episodes in the entire series where four writers share credit for the script. It's also the last one written by the wife-and-husband team of Robin Green and Mitchell Burgess who left the show to try to develop another HBO series.
The episode title "Live Free or Die" is the famous motto of the state of New Hampshire, where Vito has taken refuge.
