There is no doubt that this is my favourite episode of the classic BBC sitcom Some Mothers do ave em. With a bit of luck it was also the first episode I saw.
Frank and Betty are going on a second honeymoon. Due to Frank going to the toilet, he and Betty travel up to the hotel in different carriages. At the hotel there is one slight tear in the lino on the floor. Frank tries to sort it out but sadly destroys the whole room. With a broken wardrobe etc. they steal the wardrobe from the man staying in the opposite room. They also steal his mat. Seeing this happen, the man thinks it is his Grandfather come back from the dead and calls out "Mr Bedford!!", "Mr Bedford!!" he does this loads of times in the episode. Frank and Betty's hotel room is in such a state, there is a hole in the floor, Frank and Betty decide they had better leave immediately. Don't worry Frank gave a false address.
While this episode is hilarious, it also makes me cringe. Just one rip in the lino has caused him to destroy the whole room. Another example is in the episode "George's house", a jammed toilet made him destroy the whole house. You find yourself screaming at the telly "Frank, just leave it" and "No what have you done that for" Best Bit: BETTY: We can't just leave, they know are address, FRANK: Not the real one, BETTY: You gave them a false address, this has happened before hasn't it, FRANK: I had a lot of trouble when staying at a hotel with my mother. I'll never forget that night, I was up all night trying to flush a mattress down the toilet.
