Episode 24 begins with Jodie and Carol in bed, which really confuses him.The morning after, she's humming,he's angry, and wondering if she'll still be his friend if he doesn't sleep with her again.Burt returns home, and a still confused Mary admits that she's always loved Burt, and is willing to move forward and see what happens.Worrying about Jessica's fate, the Tates all lie awake the whole night, all but the well rested Jessica herself, who welcomes Corinne back home, happy to see her little girl sleeping in her own bed again.Ingrid Svenson makes one final attempt to retrieve Corinne, but leaves empty-handed,saying they haven't seen the last of her.Chief of Police Tinkler drops by with a warrant for Chester's arrest, courtesy of his stock manipulations(eyeing the children,Tinkler adds,"bet you kids are gonna be lonely around here come the holidays!") E.Ronald Mallu's summation brings the trial to a close, before The Major makes a grandstand play attempting to rescue his daughter(Benson disarms him, since he doesn't use bullets).
