Crazed Football Star
16 December 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Clark gets recruited to play football at Metropolis University when the recruiter and star player from Met U. is more than sees the eye in this episode that is solid in parts and weak in others.

Clark goes on a recruiting trip to Metropolis University, and is guided by Geoff Johns, a recently graduated running back who is headed to the NFL. However, like Clark, Geoff has some secrets that he's hiding. Clark discovers that, much like himself, Geoff has had a little advantage on the field. This causes Clark to question his morals, particularly about whether it is right to continue to play football with such an unfair, decisive advantage. Meanwhile, Lex tells Lana about Jason Teague's mother who is determined to destroy the ancestor of the witch Countess Thoreau. He tells her that he suspects that this is why Jason got in a relationship with her.

This episode is crucial in one respect due to the fact that Clark's character and integrity is strengthened. However, due to a couple of select scenes, this isn't a strong episode.
