When Lana is assaulted by three drunken customers at The Talon, Clark Kent defends her and beats up all the guys using his super-human strength. But the new uptight and unfriendly Smallville sheriff, Nancy Adams, arrests Clark for assault and battery. One of the troublemakers, the wealthy and spoiled Andrew Connors, fakes a serious injury and sues the Kents for a huge amount of money. With the abrasive and intimidating (and easily fooled) Sheriff Adams unwilling to help Clark, or the Kents either, Lana decides to help Clark expose Connors as a phony. Meanwhile, Helen is stalked by her former university boy-friend Paul Hayden, a very deranged man. When Paul attacks and nearly kills Helen, a vengeful Lex teams up with Clark to track down Paul to the train station before he can skip town. Also, Lana decides to have training in self-defense with Lex in the aftermath of her assault at The Talon. Written by Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Nancy is Uptight
9 October 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

The episode begins and ends exciting in this fairly good "Smallville" episode. Action abounds with a fight outside a coffee shop at the beginning, and on the road at the end.

While Lana is closing down the Talon for the night, three men attack her in an attempt to rob the shop. Clark saves her, beating up the guys, while Lana is turned away. However, Sheriff Nancy Adams arrests him for assault. Meanwhile, Lexgirl Helen is getting stalked by a former boyfriend. Friends Lex and Clark team up to stop the stalker before he can get out of town.

This episode is another OK one as the end of the season draws nearer.
