Lana sees the impossible: a friend named Emily Eve Dinsmore, who died six years earlier in a fatal accident at age 10, and still appears that age. Clark Kent believes Lana and searches for the truth. Emily's father Mr. Dinsmore has an accident provoked by Emily and Lionel Luthor visits him in the hospital. Lana and Clark eventually discover that Emily is the result of a Luthor Corp experiment in accelerated cloning. But problems in her chromosomes have caused her to be a flawed copy, resulting in a bad temper, with the power of super-speed and telekinesis. Meanwhile, Lex Luthor plans his wedding with Helen, while Lionel gives Lex a free airline ticket for a honeymoon in the Caribean, and to tie up some loose ends over the Emily cloning matter, and to take control of the old cave away from Lex. Once Friends the Same Age, now Lana is six years older
9 October 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This episode is so interesting from many angles and perspectives, a result of a fantastic storyline in the series' 42nd episode.

After being friends with Emily Dinsmore at age 10, Lana lost her friend due to a tragic incident in the town's river . However, much to her surprise, Lana again meets Emily. However, while Lana has is now a 16-year old young woman, Emily is still a 10-year old child. The reasons behind this phenomenon are shocking, as revealed at the end of the episode. In addition, Lana discovers that Emily has super-speed and telekinesis, and tells Clark. Lana becomes spooked by Emily's obsession to always be around Lana, wanting to play with her like old times. In addition, Lionel gives Lex free airline tickets to take Helen on their honeymoon, with the intent of investigating the caves on his own.

This episode is shocking, revealing, and a great all-around show. Emily's obsession of being with Lana is reminiscent of shape-shifter Tina Greer's obsession with her as seen midway through Season 1 and in one of the first episodes of this season.
