Trivia

As the Sliders are walking along the beach after exiting the portal, John Rhys-Davies says, "I don't know about Paradise, but I was in a place called Eden once, in Tunisia in North Africa. Nasty fly-infested place". This is an obvious reference to the time he spent in Tunisia working on the film Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). See more »

i love this episode

I really love this episode, it really rocks my socks off, even though there are some problems with it.

PROS: It has the Haldane from Space Precinct 2040 in it, one of the great misunderstood sci fi shows of the 20th century; It completely rips off Tremors for the most part, eg, giant worm thing; It features people who never got old (like Peter Pan, but less gay.)

CONS: It has the Haldane from Space Precinct 2040 in it; It completely rips off Tremors for the most part, eg, giant worm thing; It features people who never get old as a result of eating freaky worm ass-goo.

This episode pretty much sums up Sliders for me: great characterisation of the main characters, somewhat 1 dimensional supporting cast with dodgy acting skills, and a storyline that rocks, but evidently wasn't thought through properly.

It's still the most entertaining episode for me personally - it's like having Hulk Hogan wrestle an imaginary bear in your living room.
