Colin's double is heir to a multimedia empire. Mistaken for the heir, Colin asks if he can "... buy that channel that only shows science fiction programming", a reference to the show's new host network, the Sci-Fi Channel.
The costume the fake slider (Arnold Potts) is wearing on Lipschitz Live is the same costume worn by Captain Galaxy on the Quantum Leap episode "Future Boy"
During one scene shortly before Quinn is shown trying to get on "Lipschitz Live!", there is an exterior shot with a large mounted television screen on which Lipschitz is seen saying, "The senator, while denying he was drunk, could not explain his nudity." This quote was part of the opening segment of WKRP in Cincinnati (1978), preceding the theme song. Bill Dial, one of the series' writers, had previously written for WKRP in Cincinnati (1978).
When Quinn is on on the air, the fake Slider sitting next to him onstage can be seen wearing a Nintendo Power Glove.
Originally, the idea for season four was that the final episode of the season would show the Sliders reaching Kromagg Prime, only to learn that Colin was a genetically enhanced clone made to betray the group and open a door for the Kromaggs to invade their home world. This was dropped due to episode #4.13, "Lipschitz Live", in which a double of Colin appeared; the reasoning for this was that the creative staff didn't think a once-off clone could have a parallel universe duplicate.
