This episode is dedicated to a "Mr. Blasko". This is a reference to Bela Lugosi who starred in Dracula (1931). Lugosi's real last name was Blaskó.
Sledge takes another shot at "Mr. Belvedere" which preceded this show and was blamed for poor ratings. This caused a riff between the shows which sometimes went public.
In the bar where Sledge heard that Lagarski has died, there is a Spud Beer sign on the wall. In Lily Tomlin (1975) a fake commercial introduced Spud Beer, the beer that made Boise famous.
