Trivia

Sledge says he is immune to poison ivy. This is a case where language becomes problematic. The itching and blisters of poison ivy is caused by our hyperimmune response to the plant's oil urushiol. Our immune system responds so strongly to urushiol that our own T cells cause the rash and blisters. So, if we did not have an immune system response we would be 'immune' (nonreactive) to poison ivy. Goofs

When Sledge and Dori are running the stairs and the secretary reaches the 14th floor a camera (which was shooting the next scene) can be seen in top left corner. See more »

Funniest show ever
3 October 2007 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Sledge Hammer was one of the funniest shows ever put on t.v. The writing is brilliant and the acting always on cue. Although it is very sexist and politically incorrect, the show is very 80's. My wife never liked the show so that should tell you it is funny- especially to guys. Sledge Hammer is a "Dirty Harry" cop and the show is full of 80's tongue in cheek jokes. Sledge acts very aggressive and like his big screen mentor, all with a joke in every line/scene. The show did not get its due. The video is poor and you can tell it is low budget, but past that it is non-stop rolling humor. Laugh out loud funny for anyone who loves the 80's, Sledge Hammer is a must see!
