The Return Of 1960s Irwin Allen?
17 July 2011 | by See all my reviews

This starts with The Bionic Man and The Bionic Woman running around, using their powers, like The Wonder Twins. Then we cut to a Bewitched-type-moment with a mysterious vanishing female in the distance! Before long it is space aliens and Bigfoot! My this show has changed over the seasons! From spys to aliens/monsters! Producer Irwin Allen did the same change with his Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea series in the 1960s. History repeats itself.

Despite the general goofy-ness of this season opener, I must say I enjoyed it a lot. The alien leader (played well by John Saxon) and The Bionic Woman are cool to have around but I wish, after three long seasons, they changed the music composer. The music used over the action scenes just seems to be the same season after season. Most TV shows of this genre do change things around a bit after two or three seasons.
